After applying eyeshadow with the appropriate brush , blend at the ends to soften or blend the colors.
To take good care of your brush : Hold the brush head down and run it under warm water. Wash the bristles with a mild shampoo or soap and rinse thoroughly. Let it air dry by laying it "lying down" to prevent water from penetrating the handle.
