Recipe for a homemade neutral cream

Ingredients for 100 ml...

Oily phase :

- 28 ml of jojoba oil

- 4 g of Olivem 1000

- 5 drops of vitamin E

Aqueous phase :

- 30 ml of mineral water

- 10 ml of witch hazel hydrosol

- 10 ml of rose geranium hydrosol

- 15 ml of aloe vera gel

- 2 g of vegetable glycerin

- 5 drops of Cosgard preservative

Material

- 2 bowls

- 1 beaker

- 1 spatula

- 1 bain-marie

- 1 thermometer

- 1 mini whisk

- 1 jar of 100 ml

Preparation

1/ Clean and disinfect equipment, utensils, work surface and hands.

2/ Weigh the oil phase in a beaker and heat in a bain-marie to 70°C maximum. Remove from the heat and let cool. Mix well.

3/ Weigh the aqueous phase in a beaker and heat in a bain-marie to 40°C maximum. Remove from the heat. Mix well.

4/ When the 2 mixtures are at the same temperature (between 40°C and 50°C), slowly pour the aqueous phase into the oily phase without stopping stirring vigorously with the mini-whisk, for around 3 minutes, until the mixture turns white and becomes homogenous.

5/ Without stopping stirring, place the beaker in a little cold water to accelerate the cooling and setting of the emulsion for another 3 minutes.

6/ Gradually add the aloe vera, mixing well between each addition.

7/ Transfer the preparation into a previously sterilized container!
